Lyrica’s art images were painted by her at Art and Soul in Nashville, Tennessee, under the dear heart guidance of her intuitive art teacher Karen Carter. Lyrica shares, “In my art I am free to lose my disability over the ways that the colors and lines flow from my soul’s expression. Holding a brush dipped into my chosen color, I approach the paper as a window into my inner chamber. The patterns that emerge speak of my emotions and aspirations all woven together into a whirl of forms that merge to find their relationship and shared meaning. I free my dear me that has no spoken words, only color and form as my own unique and independent language that I have to share me with the world.”

Lyrica explains that the five paintings that are in the book served as codes to hold the energy for the book’s completion. She shares, “These five paintings tell the story of my transformation from disempowerment toward my ultimate seated soul. Flames of Purification reveal the harshness of the human condition being released through a cleansing and clearing process into my truth. There I rest as Angel Seen in Autism. Steps along the way that ignite my Autism Spark within include, Merkabah–In Transit to Higher Dimensions, where I hold God dearly, Heart in Motion, which is feeling safe in my body, and Tree of Life Into My Soul, where my higher and lower parts blend into one.”
